Meeting Recap!
January 21, 2009 | 11:08 PMWednesday's meeting was a great success with best ever attendance, establishment of our new T-shirt design contest and several new game ideas all of which sounded fun and innovative. Great job everyone!
Big news you want to remember:
We are now the official Surry County chapter of IGDA!
Any game project paid members create this semester can be submitted into a contest or displayed at an event under the SGDG name as long as our officers are kept in the loop throughout the development process. This ensures our quality standards stay high.
The skills and interests pad will be located in E143 of the SCC campus on Monday the 26th. Add your skills, ideas and interests for everyone to see! This is a great way to recruit a teammate and get to know each other!
All T-shirt logo ideas are due on Monday January 26th. They may be submitted to blakeleftwich@gmail.com or given to myself, Matt Mullin or Jody Hartle in person. Get busy this weekend!
Everyone is encouraged to attend the Carolina Games Summit on Saturday February 8th at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, NC. Go there for gaming, tournaments, eats, music, fun and the opportunity to listen to lectures and participate in workshops given by area game developers. The SGDG will host a classic console game room and member/student created games, art and other works. Tony Searcy has authorized use of the SCC campus student parking areas for carpool parking. Doors open at 10am and it is recommended that you purchase your tickets online at carolinagamessummit.com
If you would like to display your game, art, etc. at the summit please submit it to blakeleftwich@gmail.com by Monday Febuary 2nd.
Thanks for a productive meeting. Have a great weekend!
